Maria and Humberto are amazing! They are like parents helping their foreign flock!! We have stayed there so many times I can hardly count...honestly. We have stayed in both rooms, both have bar fridges, air conditioning, showers, you can hand wash your laundry there and hang it on the line which is very helpful when you are travelling with only a few clothes. Actually we have recommended so many people and they love it too. Maria's house is very close to the Malecon and some decent restaurants. Also, not far is the capitolio buiding and chinatown. Maria has helped us at the hospital when I got sick on one trip and Humberto helped to change several tires on our rental car...to say the very least these people are very kind. Humberto and Maria may not have a roof terrace, but they difinitly had the warmest smile, we met anywere in Cuba - and their beds the best mattresses. Maria speaks a little english. |
