My review: This was a perfect casa!
Everything was good, people are amaizing and friendly. Food is perfect. The room was cleen, warm water was all the time available. In room is fridge with watter, soft drinks and beers.
Realy this was the best casa in Cuba for me.
How was your room?: Clean, air conditioned, fridge in the room.
How was the food they offer?: perfect! My Cuban mama is the best cook in the world. Breakfast was just perfect (lot of fruits, smoothie, pancakes, butter, coffe, milk, bread, honney, omlets).
The dinnes was fantastic too, and it was cheap!

My review: Handling the reservation the owner was informative and punctual, and he had a taxi waiting for me at the airport. Great service!
My room was complete and clean, bed was fine, minibar was stocked with the essentials at a fair price. I loved the family and how they tried to connect with all the guests. The daughter speaks excellent German and English is just as easy for the whole family. Good interaction with all the clients. Perfect breakfast and dinner service, also at very reasonable prices.
Little tip for the future: my room had classic shutters in the window what doesn't make it soundproof. The traffic in Varadero starts pretty early. I hope the owner has the money to put in double pane windows in the future. If you are a light sleeper, might want to take earplugs.
How was your room?: Excellent
How was the food they offer?: Breakfast was super, I had two dinners there too, was delicious and very fair priced.
Other services they offer: Taxi arrangement was perfect.
Other comments: The sweetest people, and lots of interaction.

Hostel El Villareņo
My review: We were first time in Cuba and luckily we had booked this hostel for our first four nights in Varadero. We realized already on the first night that this is very good family (even the taxi driver said us so). Everyone in the family is so lovely and welcoming, they took really good care of us. They speak also good English.
Food was so delicious, especially chicken with orange sauce, yammy! Breakfast was super nice at the terrace and when it was my birthday, they brought us a cake and sang "happy birthday to you..."! I was so surprised.
Rooms were clean and cozy and also the cleaning lady is a nice person. Showers are like the "average Cuba" but it was ok. Noicy roosters outside wake us up sometimes even at 4AM but we got used to it. The location is very nice, because the beach is only 5min walk away and sometimes it felt like a private beach there (not so many tourists). The mall is near also (check carefully that they give you back right amount of change in the stores!!) and also the bus station. The family also recommended us a good casa in Cienfuegos, their old friend Tony who spoke fluent English, and helped us to book the casa there.
We also decided to stay our very last night in this casa, because it was the best casa during our trip :) it was also possible and safe to leave our luggage there in the house when we checked out and waited for our bus or taxi. They also helped us to have a ride back to the airport when it was time to fly home. When I´ll travel next time in Cuba, I will definately book this casa again, no doubt! And I guess I´m not the only one.... ;) Muchas gracias!
How was your room?: nice
How was the food they offer?: nice
