Hi there , my friend and i met Pototo in November .Didn't know what to expect but after meeting up with him we realized he was the first Cuban person we met that wasn't hitting on us from the off.He had sorted a problem we had with our hotel booking before we arrived so it was nice to meet up with him in person.He is a real genuine man and could not do enough for you .He sorted a casa in Pinar Del Rio for us which was truly fantastic .He never looked for anything in return but as we did not meet up with him again i sent him on a few euros by donation to enjoy a few drinks on us.We will be going back again next year and we will definitely be meeting up with him for dinner and drinks Irish style !!.If you need anything at all he is only to glad to help.Just wish there were more like him around these days.

Sorry it has taken so long to write this. We were in Cuba in January and contacted Pototo through Cuba Junky before we went. We went to his house the day we arrived in Havana and he arranged bus tickets and a casa in Vinales. When we returned to Havana, he invited us to his house for dinner and to meet an English friend of his. We didn't expect this level of hospitality and it made the holiday really special. This is an excellent website and Pototo is a great guy.

Our dear friend Pototo,

We've been thinking of sending an e-mail to you for a while, but simply couldn’t express our feelings, emotions and memories from such unique and authentic country such as Cuba, and write them down in a form of words on paper. We had the time of our life. 

Our stay in Havana and visits to Santa Clara, Trinidad and island Cayo largo were simple most beautiful in a most wonderful way. Just perfect! Everything was so unreal, like in some kind of movie that looks like a dream. The people, city of Havana, streets, buildings, music, magnificent and careless atmosphere…it’s indescribable. Thank you so much for everything and your help, not to mention the beautiful dinner that you personally prepared for us at your home and lovely cuba libre that we drink on your balcony.

I simply don’t now where to go and which country to visit after our stay in Habana and Cuba. All the impressions from our stay over there are so special and probably never reachable again. Of course with the exception of visiting Cuba again, which will happen I hope relatively soon. We miss so much that feeling that we had in ourselves during the stay in Havana. 

Also, please send once again all regards of this world from our hearts to Melba and Alberto. We had an incredible and most wonderful stay at their home and if we ever go back to Cuba again, no, when we go back to Cuba we will again stay at theirs casa. Almost every day we remember wonderful breakfasts and Cuban coffee that Melba prepared for us, Alberto’s cohibas and beautiful moments we had on theirs balcony. And how to describe the most beautiful view from the balcony we had in our room. Malecon and Atlantic sea, centro Habana, Habana vieja, where everything is happening and the real Cuban life is going on.

And please dear Pototo, inform us if your low changes and allowed foreigners to buy some real estate in Cuba, we will immigrate to Cuba as soon as possible. J

We really hope to see you all again…

I am very late in writing to you to say a very BIG THANK YOU for all of your help in making our trip to Havana as special as it was. Your hospitality was amazing and I was sorry that the evening ended; I am sure I could have stayed and talked for much longer. We certainly did enjoy our evening at the Gato Tuerto. The music was fantastic and the club was nice. Very easy to get a taxi back to Luis Miguel’s also. I was very apprehensive initially about doing all of the arrangements over the internet but you had come highly recommended and now I know why. Luis Miguel’s casa was more than we had hoped for and the evening at your house was lovely. It was all over much too quickly. I find myself searching for words so that you will know how much you added to our Cuban experience but I cannot find them – again, a thank you to you and your lovely wife for giving us a memorable evening.

I just wanted to send a big 'Thanks' to Pototo for helping plan and making our trip to Cuba so amazing. We were two women traveling together and he made us feel every safe and comfortable in every place he found for us to stay. He is a great resource and I would highly recommend him for and Cuba travels.

Dear Pototo,

here we are back in cold Quebc City, Canada.This morning it was -24C and there is almost 2 meters of snow; this is unusual even for us.

Pototo, you were a great help to us while in your beautiful country and we would like to again thank you for all you have done for us.
