Nilson and his family provide an incredibly clean, safe and friendly casa and we had the pleasure of staying with them for a relaxing week in May. The room is large and has two air conditioners plus modern fridge and access to a rooftop terrace which has good views of the town and the ocean. The casa is only a short walk to the centre of town and Nilson is well known by many people in the town with excellent contacts to assist in planning day trips to nearby beaches and sights. The three girls who run the kitchen provide fantastic breakfasts and meals with great hot chocolates, juices and seafood meals cooked in coconut sauces being a specialty. We were looked after with love and attention and we look forward to the day when we can return to spend some more time in this lovely casa.

We stayed in Casa Rafael in April 2010 for 3 nights. Our stay there was wonderful.
The house is located in the centre of town and it is easy to find and move around both on foot or by car. If going by car there is a parking space in the house on the opposite side of the street where you can leave your car.
Casa style: Quiet, Fantastic hosts, Comfertable, Cozy, Romantic, Charming, Beautiful, Safe
Amenities: Parking service, Airconditioning, Private bathroom, Laundry service, Balcony,
How was your room?: The room is on the first floor. It is big, quiet with lots of light coming from the many windows and very clean. It has a double and a single bed,air conditioning, 2 rockers, a place for the luggage/shoes, hangers,a big mirror, 2 bedside tables with small lamps. There is a toilet in the room with shower (hot water at all times).
There are 2 rockers in the porch where you can relax in the shade or if you prefer you can go to the roof terrace where there are 2 rockers as well and there you can enjoy the sun and the beautiful views of Baracoa.
How was the food the offer?: Food is amazing. Breakfast was something not to be missed : eggs, fruit, juice, bread, butter, guava jam, coffee and Baracoa's hot chocolate (the best cocoa in the world!). For dinner we had fish in coconut milk, lobster and shrimps in tomato sauce ... every meal comes with soup, salad, rice and dessert, all delicious! They also serve drinks.
Quality/price value is excellent. The room is 20CUC per night, breakfast is 3CUC and meals are 7CUC. Unbeatable!
Other services they offer: Rafael and his family will give you advice on what to visit on the area. They can also organise excursions and book trips for you as well as rent bicycles and offer Spanish and salsa lessons.
English spoken and if you enjoy reading there is a large bookcase full of interesting books in different languages.
If you like chatting then do not hesitate to start a conversation with Rafael, he is lovely!
Other comments: I bet you would not find a better place to stay. Rafael and his family are so hospitable they made us feel at home.

Casa Rafael y Adis
Address: Calle Felix Ruenes #29
E/ Coroneles Galano y Céspedes
Baracoa (CP 97310)
Tel number: +53 21 643441
This casa is located in the center of Baracoa, you can walk to the beach and to the cathedral.
There is one big room, with AC and private bathroom (wc, shower, hot water), and a huge terrace with a wonderful view.
I think this place is worth to go to because of this view, of the meals Adis cooks (fish 'a la ranchera' : with coco), and the way she, Rafael and their daughter take care of the people they recieve.
Besides, Adis is and english teacher, which can be very helpful for people who don't speak spanish very well.

Casa de Reina y Rebeca
Address: Raul Cep. Bonilla #17
e/ Marti y Rodney Coutin Wich city?:
Baracoa
Tel: +52 26 5054
The casa of Reina and Rebeca is undoubtedly the best casa I stayed at in Cuba. Not so much for the house itself or the location (though they are both good) but for the warmth and loveliness of the two sisters who run this casa. There are two rooms available upstairs and one downstairs. The casa has two terraces, and Reina and Rebeca cook some incredible food. The casa is located conveniently between the beach and the city center - you are about two blocks from the beach and a short 10 minute walk to the center of the city.

Isabel Castro Vilato
Address: Mariana Grajales No. 35
Baracoa
Tel: +53 64 2267
Great place to stay. After we arrived in Baracoa we found out that we stayed in a house where we didn`t book. No one told us about it.
sooooo .... we went out to find another better place, which we found at Isabela Castro Vilato.
In the mornigs she sings troughout the house while serving breakfast with fresh eggs from own chicken. Dinners are surprising after the dull menu`s that Cuba serves in general.
Rooms are clean and give enough place to sleep. The garden gives rest and space to dream with the sounds from the Palmtrees, birds, chicken and flowering plants.
When asked, Pepe likes it to present one of his poems, a man with soul.
Our experience at the casa particular of Dennis Rodríguez
In March visited Baracoa, in Guantánamo province (eastern Cuba), where we stopped for some days.
We had a very good time staying at Dennis Rodríguez's and have decided to share the experience with you.
Dennis and his wife Rafaela own a very nice, clean and comfortable house in the centre of this genuine cuban town where they rent rooms to the tourists. Perhaps the main difference with respect to common "casas particulares" in Cuba is the privacy and independence that the guest can get. The rooms are located on the second floor, with direct access from the street, and they provide you with the keys so that you can get in and out at your will. The Rodríguez couple are very friendly, generous in hospitality, and always have time to enrol in an interesting conversation about Cuba, its history, or the beauty of Baracoa's surroundings, while enjoying a fresh beer or a cup of coffee together.
We strongly recommend this outstanding place if you go to Baracoa. If you do, please tell Dennis you knew about them in this page, so that they can assess how effective this publicity is.

Casa Alfredo Quintero y Liliana Morgado
Address: Marti #69
Baracoa, Cuba
Tel: +53 21 643172
We
found the casa of Alfredo Quintero and Liliana Morgado an excellent choice in Baracoa. Their recently
re-furbished colonial house has been done exquisitely. A
pleasing blend of faithfully maintained colonial details,
some pleasing modern touches, plus modern conveniences.
Meals are tasty and bountiful. Ask for the thermos of coffee
and another of cocoa! Everything is spotless. Best of all,
Alfredo and Liliana are so kindly, as well as proud of and
well-informed about their community.

Casa
Atlantis
Owner: Sr Fermin Pita Caballero
Baracoa, Cuba
I have stayed there, and it's great. The two rooms are at the
back of the house, and open onto a private, walled patio.
Beyond the patio wall is the beach--not a great open-ocean
beach, just a grey bay beach, but fine for walking. The owners
are an engineer and his wife, who is a medical doctor. The
husband, Fermin, speaks English.
