Varadero restaurants |
 |
Variety,
refinement, and in some cases exclusiveness, distinguish
Varadero's food services, with its approximately 50
restaurants outside of the hotel network and an even
higher number of hotel restaurants, all of which combine
to provide the visitor with a true gourmet feast.
Improved
and recreated by true masters of the culinairy art,
the Cuban
cuisine holds a prominent place at the
tourist city, where options go as far as including choices
such as Frensh-Swiss and German dishes.
And
there is of course room for those who prefer Chinese,
Italian, and Spanish cuisine, as well as many places
where one can enjoy fresh seafood and fish.

Cuba's
first inhabitants appreciated the cool shade
provided by palm-thatched roofs. Visitors
who discover the "Varadero Cistern"
can also appreciate some authentic Creole
food. There are two ways of getting here,
on foot through Primera Avenida, or by car
through Calle 36 where there is parking.
Tables are arranged beneath the shade of
a caneye (thatched canopy) and along the
side of the restaurant. The bar serves Cuban
and international mixed drinks, along with
the popular local Mojito (Fresh Mint Rum
Julep). The house Pollo al Aljibe is a highlight.
The 120-capacity dining area is ideal for
large groups traveling together.

Just a few steps from the sea, the Xanadú
mansion has the charming gift of the buildings
of the beginning of last century, just a few minutes
from the center of Varadero. Glass barrels and
carafes covered with woven palm leaves and wines
matured by the time share this pleasant atmosphere
where, along with a choice of delicacies from
the French and international cuisine, you can
enjoy a service in line with your exclusivity.
