Casa Carlos y Belkis

My review: This casa has a view that nobody else has in Santa Clara. When we were there the Santa Clara Cathedral was lit with lights to celebrate Christmas and it looked like it was decorated exclusively for our view from the balcony. There is a 360 degree view of Santa Clara from the rooftop terrace. The new air conditioner is extremely quiet and efficient. Carlos, Belkis and family are wonderful people, very kind and helpful. They will do everything to make your experience in Santa Clara memorable.

They have an old dog, Bento, who mostly stays out of the way and is quiet.

How was your room?: Very nice suite: bedroom, sitting room, balcony, private washroom.

How was the food they offer?: Very delicious food. Variety and seasonal.

Other services they offer: Laundry, Directions, Spanish, etc.

Other comments: They will help you with anything you need.

Casa Carlos y Belkis

I stayed with Carlos and Belkis for nearly 4 months whilst working at the university in Santa Clara. I now consider them my second parents! They are the most wonderful, humble and kind people. They genuinely care about their guests and they have huge hearts.

The house is also beautiful, with wonderful original features like stained glass, wooden doors and high ceilings. All very well cared for. They are generous with their space and welcome you to use their living room too.

Belkis cooks great food, always with the freshest ingredients, always different. I don't think you'll find better food in Cuba.

I couldn´t recommend it more. I´ve already been back once since my long stay and I'm sure I´ll be back again. Anyone who gets to stay here and meet these lovely people should consider themselves very lucky.
